चेन्नई,12 अप्रैल (हि.स.)। इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) 2021 के तीसरे मुकाबले में सनराइजर्स हैदराबाद पर मिली 10 रनों की रोमांचक जीत पर खुशी जताते हुए कोलकाता नाईट राइडर्स (केकेआर) के कप्तान इयोन मोर्गन ने अपने शीर्ष क्रम के बल्लेबाजों की जमकर तारीफ की।
मैच के बाद मोर्गन ने कहा,”जिस तरह से शीर्ष क्रम के बल्लेबाजों ने प्रदर्शन किया वह काफी शानदार था। नितीश राणा और राहुल त्रिपाठी शानदार थे और हमारे मध्यक्रम के बल्लेबाजों ने मैच ठीक वैसा ही प्रदर्शन किया, जैसा हम चाहते थे। कुल मिलाकर इससे अच्छी शुरुआत नहीं मिल सकती थी।”
केकेआर ने हालांकि हरभजन सिंह को केवल एक ही ओवर गेंदबाजी कराई जो उनके लिए पहले सीजन में खेल रहे हैं। लेकिन मोर्गन ने कहा, “भज्जी ने पहले ओवर में अच्छी शुरुआत की और बाद में हम उन्हें गेंदबाजी नहीं करा सके लेकिन उनके अनुभव का इस्तेमाल अन्य को सलाह देने में किया।”
बता दें कि इस मैच में केकेआर ने पहले खेलते हुए नितीश राणा (80) और राहुल त्रिपाठी (53) के बेहतरीन अर्धशतकों की बदौलत 20 ओवर में छह विकेट पर 187 रन बनाए। जवाब में हैदराबाद की टीम मनीष पांडे (नाबाद 61) और जॉनी बेयरस्टो (55) के अर्धशतकों की बदौलत 5 विकेट पर 177 रन ही बना सकी।
